You’re a liar

Your words curse and sting,

They swallow and choke like ropes tied to the throat

You deceive people

You give them the wrong idea 

By telling them false words

You manipulate people

The word “truth” doesn’t seem to be in your dictionary

Why do you do this to other people?

Do you like to see them get their hopes up?

Or down?

Just for your own benefit?

Just so you couldn’t hurt their feelings?

Well, the healing lies don’t feel better than the painful truth
