There’s A Place

There’s a place by the park,

By the school,

By the gates,

By the houses,

A big tree,

Shed of its leaves because of the curse of the cold weather,

Where all the birds from all parts of my town come together as a big family

They call out to each other to arrange the big family meeting,

It’s time for feeding

You hear the vary of pitches of bird calls

They may be varied in pitch but they all hold the same message,

For the same type

You can hear the sound of their togetherness:

Loud, irritating,

Yet also beautiful

They’re together as one,

In one accord

Why can’t we be more like those birds?

We used to be,

But now we’re not

What happened to us?

What happened was The Division
